Installing/Updating CERMS

Installation

Install CERMS by going to GitHub (here) and downloading "CERMS-SETUP-X.X.X.exe" (X.X.X will be replaced by whatever version is the latest). Run the setup file to install. CERMS is NOT currently code-signed. You will get a Windows warning saying the application is unknown. You may have to click "more options" or "view more" and "install anyways".

Updating

CERMS will automatically update. The system will check for an update automatically. To manually check for an update, from the navigation bar, click Options -> Accounts -> System Settings -> Check for Update. If an update is available, it will automatically download. You will receive a notification when the download is complete. Close out of CERMS and wait a few minutes before re-opening. CERMS will be updated! You can also follow this process to see what version you are running. If the auto-updater fails, uninstall CERMS and reinstall.

Uninstalling

On Windows: Right-click your CERMS icon and click "Open File Location". Go back one directory by clicking back one folder from the top navigation bar of File Explorer. This could be labeled "Auto-Update-Test", "CERMS", or something similar. Right-click and delete the entire folder.
