Scanning ID's

If an ID scanner is installed on your computer, you can scan/read IDs through the system.

You will see the "Scan ID" button on the Members page. A text box will be brought up next to the button when you click this. You can now scan the ID. After the text is inputted in the text box from the ID scanner, click Scan ID again. The system will search for the ID number, and you may or may not get results.

At the top of the Create Membership form, You will see a button labeled "Scan ID". After you click "Scan ID," a text box will be brought up next to the button. Once you see the text box, scan the ID and wait for the text to stop filling up the text box. Click Scan ID again. If the ID was scanned correctly, the following fields will be automatically filled in (if available).

• First Name
• Middle Name
• Last Name
• Date of Birth
• ID State
• ID Number

Please ensure you are looking over the fields to provide the correct information. 

Most ID scanners can also read "regular" barcodes. Ensure you scan the larger barcode on the ID by covering any smaller ones with your finger.

NOTE: This ID Scanner system does NOT check for fake IDs. You must verify you have a real ID in your hand before scanning. Some fake IDs can still be scanned.
